Consider YOU. In all time before now and in all time to come, there has never been and will never be anyone just like you.
You are unique in the entire history and future of the universe.
Wow !Stop and think about that. You're better than one in a million, or a billion, or a gazillion...
You are the only one like you in a sea of infinity!

You're amazing! You're awesome! And by the way, TAG, you're it.As amazing and awesome as you already are, you can be even more so.
Beautiful young people are the whimsey of nature, but beautiful old people are true works of art.
But you don't become "beautiful" just by virtue of the aging process.
Real beauty comes from learning, growing, and loving in the ways of life.
That is the Art of Life. You can learn slowly, and sometimes painfully, by just waiting for life to happen to you.
Or you can choose to accelerate your growth and intentionally devour life and all it offers.
You are the artist that paints your future with the brush of today.
Paint a Masterpiece.God gives every bird its food, but he doesn't throw it into its nest. Wherever you want to go, whatever you want to do, it's truly up to you.

What is the definition of”happiness?¨Is it material wealth filled with fancy cars,a dream house, exteravagant furs and jewelry? Or is happiness simply having a roof over your head?

Food inthefridge?Having a child? A pet?A swimming pooI?A designer Gucci bag? Parents? Grandchildren? Love? Money? The perfct job?Winning the Lottery?

According to the American Heritage Dictionary,”happiness”is derived from the Middle English word hap-meaning¨Luck.¨

But does happiness really have anything to do with”luck?¨Based on this description, one could assume that if you avoide*水a:stal traffic accident but got fired by coming late to work, you would be fdled with¨happiness?¨

Is it luck or what you make of it?Maybe,”happiness”is exactly defined by its indirect alias:happiness-perhaps,happiness is in fact defined by the fortune thatwe permit to happen.

Do you recall a time-let's say when you were about 5 years old-what defined happiness back then? Was it getting a puppy for Christmas?
Or maybe, you were a child of divorce;and all you wanted was for Mom and Dad to get back together again? Then as you got older, you were hoping that someone would ask you to the prom that would've made your day, maybe your life for the moment.
During college, good grades made you happy, but it was short-lived.Becaust in the real world, you had to look for a job,and competition was stark.lt's an employer's world you thought. But then, you got the perfect job-now you could be happy-or could you?
Life requires more than just what we want. Inevitably, one must understand to truly find¨happiness,¨he must make his own happiness ¨happen¨.
Sounds a bit redundant, but truthfully, there is no set guidelines that will bring one happiness. There is no¨magic wand¨we can wave to bring joy into our lives.Human nature thrives on the thrill of the chase. We dream and we hope for the next big brea-it is the grand adventure of licing.
We are hopeless creatures of comfort. We like having and accumulating things.Whether one admits to it or not,to a certain degree,we all try to keep up with¨the Jones¨.
We work so we can pay our rents, mortgages, credit card debts, school loans, car payments_the list goes on and on.And at some point,we realize, that aside from having most of what we want,we still arem't happy.
Now since we've learned to adapt to new standards which we've created for ourselves,we find that we have less time, less patience, less sleep, which equates to more stress, more worry and more aggravation. So,is happiness honestly juest comprised of"things"?
Sometimes,we virtually reade our lives for not only basic necessities, but for excesslve items and servlces as well.
We become so obsessed with finding happiness, that we lose sight of the fact that happiness is within-always.
Certainly you've heard of individuals trying to find themselves,or rediscover themselves.
The reason they are attempting these innovantive approaches is because they are seeking inner happiness. But the point has been missed:Happiness is already there.
Disappointments and reagedies in life will come and go,but happiness never leaves you.
The human's capacity to be resilient to reials is unfathomable. We can lose our jobs, but be grateful for our spouses. We can lose our homes to nature, but be thankful to alive.
Happiness is a perception of each indivduaI.We are instincively compelled to find fault in our lives.
By human nature,we begin our "fault-find-ing"mission the moment we're capable of free-thinking.lt is then, that we lose sense of self-worth and the bigger picture of vitality altogether.
Stuck in the patterns of the happiness paradox,we simply cannot find where our happiness has gone.

It's not a matter of bargaining,it's not an issue of money or fame-instead,happiness is what you resolve to accept.
lf we live through optimis-tic hope;if we dare to dream;if we empower ourselves to fully live;then we have regained our sense of happiness,There is no in berween. There is no other replacement. We only have one physical life to live-we have no choice but to make the most ofit,

In a university commencement address several years ago, Brian Dyson, CEO of Coca Cola Enterprises, spoke of the relation of work to one’s other commitments:

Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling some five balls in the air. You name them work, family, health, friends and spirit and you’re keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back.

But the other four balls family, health, friends and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life. How?

Don’t undermine your worth by comparing yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

Don’t set your goals by what other people deem important. Only you know what is best for you.

Don’t take for granted the things closest to your heart. Cling to them as they would be your life, for without them, life is meaningless.

Don’t let your life slip through your fingers by living in the past or for the future. By living your life one day at a time, you live ALL the days of your life.

Don’t give up when you still have something to give. Nothing is really over until the moment you stop trying.

Don’t be afraid to admit that you are less than perfect. It is this fragile thread that binds us to each together.

Don’t be afraid to encounter risks. It is by taking chances that we learn how to be brave.

Don’t shut love out of your life by saying it’s impossible to find. The quickest way to receive love is to give it; the fastest way to lose love is to hold it too tightly; and the best way to keep love is to give it wings.

Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you’ve been, but also where you are going.

Don’t forget, a person’s greatest emotional need is to feel appreciated.

Don’t be afraid to learn. Knowledge is weightless, a treasure you can always carry easily.

Don’t use time or words carelessly. Neither can be retrieved.

Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery and Today is a gift: that’s why we call it ‘The Present’.

The world is filled with smart, talented, educated and gifted people. We meet them every day.A few days ago, my car was not running well.

I pulled it into a garage, and the young mechanic had it fixed in just a few minutes. He knew what was wrong by simply listening to the engine. I was amazed. The sad truth is,great talent is not enough.

I am constantly shocked at how little talented people earn.

I heard the other day that less than percent of Americans earn more than $100,000 a year.Abusiness consultant who specializes inl the medical trade was telling me how many doctors, dentists and chiropractors struggle financially.

All this time,I thought that when they graduated, the dollars would pour in. It was this business consultant who gave me the phrase.

They are one skill away from great wealth.”What this phrase means is that most people need only to learn and master one more skill and their income would jump exponentially3.

I have mentioned before that financial intelligence is a synergy4 0f accounting, investing, marketing and law.

Combine those four technical skills and making money with money is easier. When it comes to money, the only skill most people know is to work hard.

When I graduated from the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy in 1969, my educated dad was happy. Standard Oil of California had hired me for its oil-tanker fleet.

I had a great career ahead of me, yet I resigned after six months with the company and joined the Marine Corps to learn how to fly. My educated dad was devastated. Rich dad congratulated me.

Job security meant everything to my educated dad. Learning meant everything to my rich dad Educated dad thought l went to school to learn to be a ship's officer. Rich dad knew that l went to school to study international trade.

So as a student,I made cargo runs, navigating6 large freighters, oil tankers and passenger ships to the Far East and the South Pacific.

While most of my classmates, including Mike, were partying at their fraternity houses,I was studying trade, people and cultures in Japan, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Korea and the Philippines.I also was partying, but it was not in any frat house.I grew up rapidly.

There is an old cliche that goes, "Job is an acronym for'Just Over Broke."' And unfortunately,1 would say that the saying applies to millions of people.

Because school does not think financial intelligence is intelligence, most workers "live within their means."

They work and they pay the bills. Instead I recommend to young people to seek work for what they will learn, more than what they will earn.

Look down the road at what skills they want to acquire before choosing a specific profession and before getting trapped in the "Rat Racell".

Once people are trapped in the lifelong process of bill paying, they become like those little hamsters12 running around in those little metal wheels.

Their little furry legs are spinning furiously, the wheel is turning furiously, but come tomorrow morning, they'II still be in the same cage: great job.

When I ask the classes I teach, "How many of you can cook a better hamburger than McDonald's?"almost all the students raise their hands.

I then ask, “So if most of you can cook a better hamburger, how come McDonald's makes more money than you?"

The answer is obvious: McDonald's is excellent at business systems. The reason so many talented people are poor is because they focus on building a better hamburger and know little or nothing about business systems.

The world is filled with talented poor people. All too often, they're poor or struggle financially or earn less than they are capable of, not because of what they know but because of what they do not know.

They focus on perfecting their skills at building a better hamburger rather than the skills of selling and delivering the hamburger.

    1. Don't spoil me. I know quite well that I ought not to have all I ask for. I'm only testing you.

    2. Don't be afraid to be firm with me. I prefer it, it makes me feel secure.

    3. Don't let me form bad habits. I have to rely on you to detect them in the early stages.

    4. Don't make me feel smaller than I am. It only makes me behave stupidly "big".

    5. Don't correct me in front of people if you can help it. I'll take much more notice if you talk quietly with me in private.

    6. Don't make me feel that my mistakes are sins. It upsets my sense of values.

    7. Don't protect me from consequences. I need to learn the painful way sometimes.

    8. Don't be too upset when I say "I hate you". Sometimes it isn't you I hate but your power to thwart me.

    9. Don't take too much notice of my small ailments. Sometimes they get me the attention I need.

    10. Don't nag. If you do, I shall have to protect myself by appearing deaf.

    11. Don't forget that I cannot explain myself as well as I should like. That is why I am not always accurate.

    12. Don't put me off when I ask questions. If you do, you will find that I stop asking and seek my information elsewhere.

    13. Don't be inconsistent. That completely confuses me and makes me lose faith in you.

    14. Don't tell me my fears are silly. They are terribly real and you can do much to reassure me if you try to understand.

    15. Don't ever suggest that you are perfect or infallible. It gives me too great a shock when I discover that you are neither.

    16. Don't ever think that it is beneath your dignity to apologize to me. An honest apology makes me feel surprisingly warm towards you.

    17. Don't forget I love experimenting. I couldn't get along without it, so please put up with it.

    18. Don't forget how quickly I am growing up. It must be very difficult for you to keep pace with me, but please do try.

    19. Don't forget that I don't thrive without lots of love and understanding, but I don't need to tell you, do I?

    20. Please keep yourself fit and healthy. I need you.

The little words that work marriage magic - Spike

Using terms of endearment like honey or sweetheart from time to time is a small but important way to keep a marriage loving.

These terms make the other person feel loved and special. There are some other words that can help make your spouse feel special and aware of how much you love and appreciate him.

"Thank you." We would not never thank a friend or co-worker for helping us out.

But sometimes we forget to thank the person who we love most: our spouse. All couples forget now and then to thank each other for all they do. But thanking each other is a good habit to fall into because gratitude is necessary for the growth of love.

Knowing that their actions are appreciated makes a couple more giving toward each other, and the more you give to each other the more your love will grow.

"Please." Please, like thank you, is easy to forget to say, but it too is very important in a relationship. Because it is another way of letting your partner know you don't take him for granted and that his time and effort count.

"You are great." Do you know that this sentence can make him feel good about himself all day? Now that you know how nice it makes him feel to be complimented, you should try to do it as often as you can.

As an added bonus, he will begin paying compliments to you more often. This is not surprising since, experts, say, compliments are a two-way street.

So the more compliments you give, the more you get. Often couples will think nice things about each other but not verbalize their thoughts because they're just not in the habit of doing so. But when one of them starts, the other will pick up on the cue and begin doing the same.

"I love you." in a new way a small variation such as "I love you more each day" can make a big difference in how you feel about each other.

When you say "I love you" the exact same way over and over, your spouse may start to discount it.

On the other hand, a fresh phrase can help keep the relationship fresh.

For instance, you can express your love for him by saying "I'm so glad you're in my life." I'm sure he will be really impressed and touched, and you two will feel closer.

Being told I would be expected to talk here, I inquired what sort of talk I ought to make. They said it should be something suitable to youth-something didactic, instructive, or something in the nature of good advice.

    获悉人们希望我在这里讲几句时,我就问他们我该讲些什 么。他们希望我讲些适合年轻人的东西——一些教诲性、有教 育意义的东西,或是一些好的建议这太好了!

    Very well. I have a few things in my mind which I have often longed to say for the instruction of the young;

    我倒是一直想 给年轻人提点建议呢,为人在年轻时期,

for it is in one's tender early years that such things will best take root and be most enduring and most valuable. First, then. I will say to you my young friends-and I say it beseechingly, urgingly.

Always obey your parents, when they are present. This is the best policy in the long run, because if you don't, they will make you.

Most parents think they know better than you do, and you can generally make more by humoring that superstition than you can by acting on your own better judgment.

Be respectful to your superiors, if you have any, also to strangers, and sometimes to others. If a person offend you, and you are in doubt as to whether it was intentional or not, do not resort to extreme measures; simply watch your chance and hit him with a brick. That will be sufficient.

If you shall find that he had not intended any offense, come out frankly and confess yourself in the wrong when you struck him; acknowledge it like a man and say you didn't mean to.

Yes, always avoid violence; in this age of charity and kindliness, the time has gone by for such things. Leave dynamite to the low and unrefined.

Go to bed early, get up early- this is wise. Some authorities say get up with the sun; some say get up with one thing, others with another. But a lark is really the best thing to get up with.

It gives you a splendid reputation with everybody to know that you get up with the lark; and if you get the right kind of lark, and work at him right, you can easily train him to get up at half past nine, every time-it's no trick at all.

Now as to the matter of lying, you want to be very careful about lying; otherwise you are nearly sure to get caught. Once caught, you can never again be in the eyes to the good and the pure, what you were before.

Many a young person has injured himself permanently through a single clumsy and ill finished lie, the result of carelessness born of incomplete training. Some authorities hold that the young out not to lie at all.

That of course, is putting it rather stronger than necessary; still while I cannot go quite so far as that, I do maintain, and I believe I am right, that the young ought to be temperate in the use of this great art until practice and experience shall give them that confidence, elegance, and precision which alone can make the accomplishment graceful and profitable.

Patience, diligence, painstaking attention to detail-these are requirements; these in time, will make the student perfect; upon these only, may he rely as the sure foundation for future eminence.

Think what tedious years of study, thought, practice, experience, went to the equipment of that peerless old master who was able to impose upon the whole world the lofty and sounding maxim that "Truth is mighty and will prevail the most majestic compound fracture of fact which any of woman born has yet achieved.

For the history of our race, and each individual's experience, are sewn thick with evidences that a truth is not hard to kill, and that a lie well told is immortal. There is in Boston a monument of the man who discovered anesthesia; many people are aware, in these latter days, that that man didn't discover it at all, but stole the discovery from another man. Is this truth mighty, and will it prevail? Ah no, my hearers, the monument is made of hardy material, but the lie it tells will outlast it a million years.

An awkward, feeble, leaky lie is a thing which you ought to make it your unceasing study to avoid; such a lie as that has no more real permanence than an average truth. Why, you might as well tell the truth at once and be done with it. A feeble, stupid, preposterous lie will not live two years-except it be a slander upon somebody.

It is indestructible, then of course, but that is no merit of yours. A final word: begin your practice of this gracious and beautiful art early-begin now. If I had begun earlier, I could have learned how.

Never handle firearms carelessly. The sorrow and suffering that have been caused through the innocent but heedless handling of firearms by the young! Only four days ago, right in the next farm house to the one where I am spending the summer, a grandmother, old and gray and sweet, one of the loveliest spirits in the land, was sitting at her work, when her young grandson crept in and got down an old, battered, rusty gun which had not been touched for many years and was supposed not to be loaded, and pointed it at her, laughing and threatening to shoot.

In her fright she ran screaming and pleading toward the door on the other side of the room; but as she passed him he placed the gun almost against her very breast and pulled the trigger! He had supposed it was not loaded. And he was right-it wasn't.

So there wasn't any harm done. It is the only case of that kind I ever heard of. Therefore, just the same, don't you meddle with old unloaded firearms; they are the most deadly and unerring hings that have ever been created by man. You don't have to take any pains at all with them; you don't have to have a rest, you don't have to have any sights on the gun, you don't have to take aim, even.

No, you just pick out a relative and bang away, and you are sure to get him. A youth who can't hit a cathedral at thirty yards with a Gatling gun in three quarters of an hour, can take up an old empty musket and bag his grandmother every time, at a hundred.

Think what Waterloo would have been if one of the armies had been boys armed with old muskets supposed not to be loaded, and the other army had been composed of their female relations. The very thought of it make one shudder.

There are many sorts of books; but good ones are the sort for the young to read. Remember that. They are a great, an inestimable, and unspeakable means of improvement. Therefore be careful in your selection, my young friends; be very careful; confine yourselves exclusively to Robertson's Sermons, Baxter's Saint's Rest, The Innocents Abroad, and works of that kind.

But I have said enough. I hope you will treasure up the instructions which I have given you, and make them a guide to your feet and a light to your understanding. Build your character thoughtfully and painstakingly upon these precepts, and by and by, when you have got it built, you will be surprised and gratified to see how nicely and sharply it resembles everybody else's.

    What I have lived for

Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong, have governed my life:the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.

    These passions, like great winds,

have blown me hither and thither, in a wayward course, over a great ocean of anguish, reaching to the very verge of despair.

I have sought love, first, because it brings enthusiasm-enthusiasm so great that I would often have sacrificed all the rest of life for a few hours of this joy.

I have sought it, next, because it relieves loneliness-that terrible loneliness in which one shivering consciousness looks over the rim of the world into the cold unfathomable lifeless abyss.

I have sought it, finally, because in the union of love I have seen,in a mystic miniature, the prefiguring vision of the heaven that saints and poets have imagined.

This is what I sought, and though it might seem too good for human life, this is what-at last-I have found.

With equal passion I have sought knowledge.

I have wished to understand the hearts of men.

I have wished to know why the stars shine.

And I have tried to comprehend the Pythagorean power by which number holds sway above the flux.

A little of this, but not much, I have achieved.

Love and knowledge, so far as they were possible, led upward toward the heavens.

But always pity brought me back to earth.

Echoes of cries of pain echoed in my heart.

Children in famine, victims tortured by oppressors, helpless old people a burden to their sons, and the whole world of loneliness, poverty, and pain make a mockery of what human life should be.

I long to alleviate this evil, but I cannot, and I too suffer.

    This has been my life.

I have found it worth living, and would gladly live it again if the chance were offered me.

At this moment you could be anywhere, doing anything.Instead you sit alone before a screen.

So what'sstopping us from doing what we want? Being where we want to be?

Each day wewake up in the same room and follow the same path, to live the same day asyesterday.

Yet at one timeeach day was a new adventure. Along the way something changed.

Before our dayswere timeless, now our days are scheduled.

Is this what itmeans to be grown up? To be free? But are we really free?

Food, water, land. The very elements we need to survive are owned by corporations.

There's no foodfor us on trees, no freshwater in streams, no land to build a home.

If you try andtake what the Earth provides you'll be locked away. So we obey their rules.

We discover theworld through a textbook.

For years wesit and regurgitate what we're told.

Tested andgraded like subjects in a lab.

Raised not tomake a difference in this world, raised to be no different.

Smart enough todo our job but not to question why we do it.

So we work andwork, left with no time to live the life we work for.

Until a daycomes when we are too old to do our job.

It is here weare left to die. Our children take our place in the game.

To us our pathis unique, but together we are nothing more than fuel. The fuel that powers theelite.

Why help thestarving? You can't profit off them.

We are like aplague sweeping the earth, tearing apart the very environment that allows us tolive.

We seeeverything as something to be sold, as an object to be owned.

But whathappens when we have polluted the last river?

Poisoned thelast breath of air? Have no oil for the trucks that bring us our food?

When will werealize money can't be eaten, that it has no value?

But we fail to make the connection.
