104. David Katz: The solution to ocean plastic (LIVE POD IN ENGLISH)

Listen Later

The only way we can reduce ocean plastic is by making sure it never ends up in the ocean in the first place. And that's only possible if we add value to it. That is the analysis of David Katz, CEO and co-founder of Plastic Bank, creating an ecosystem where people in poor countries can earn credits in an app by picking up plastics for recycling. The technology is enabled by a blockchain solution and allows the user to buy medicine, education, food and fuel with a discount. We met David at the Empack trade fair in Stockholm, where the packaging and logistics industry get together. Podcast host: Christian von Essen // Learn more at: http://www.hejaframtiden.se
