PIT PASS INDY– SEASON 2, EPISODE 45 – 106th Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson’s returns to Sweden

Pit Pass Indy Host Bruce Martin has an exclusive interview with this year’s winner of the 106th Indianapolis 500, Marcus Ericsson. The Chip Ganassi Racing driver took the Borg-Warner Trophy to Sweden over the weekend to a wild celebration from the fans in his home country.
In addition, Martin has the latest news on seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Jimmie Johnson, who competed in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES the past two season, returning to NASCAR, this time in a team owner role. Johnson has purchased a financial stake in the Petty GMS Racing Team which also includes seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Richard Petty.
Also, INDYCAR and Indianapolis Motor Speedway owner Roger Penske became the first team owner in history to win both the NTT INDYCAR SERIES Championship and the NASCAR Cup Series Championship in the same season. One of Team Penske’s NASCAR Cup Series drivers, Joey Logano, won the championship on November 6 at Phoenix Raceway. Will Power won the INDYCAR Championship on September 11 at WeatherTech Raceway at Laguna Seca. Logano won his second Cup Series Championship and Power also won his second INDYCAR Championship this season.
