INTRO: (00:00) Lulu thinks it's episode 41. It's not, this is episode 42. But ahhhh, what a great episode 41 was. You can watch it here. After a fun month in NYC with amazing meals and amazing guest googlers, we are settling back in to everyday life. Thankfully we found this upgrade from your basic Ramen noodles that helps us not miss the bougie kind as much.

OBSESSIONS: (4:28) Alison is obsessed with this cartoon her friend Anthea created, Jimmy Dean Adventures. To no surprise, Lulu is obsessed with fall in New York. Your makeup doesn't melt, and you can wear layers!

WISHLIST: (8:47) Alison is wanting a handheld spiralizer. Lulu wishes for shipments from Get Maine Lobster. Wait, unless they are live lobsters that show up at your door.

ALISON’S 10K DAY - ST. PETERSBURG, RUSSIA: (12:34) Alison stays in the Royal Suite at Rocco Forte Astoria Hotel. A luxe day in Russia includes black car service and caviar at Astoria. She heads to Sandunovsky Banya, a luxurious bath house. Whoops! Alison mistakenly thinks this is in St. Petersburg, when it is actually in Moscow. Maybe we shouldn't have ditched our guest googlers just yet. For dinner she goes to Staraya Tamozhnya where they do molecular gastronomy. Also, Alison orders a $900 bottle of Sauternes Wine before taking in a performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream at the Mariinsky Theater.

LULU’S 10K DAY - PIONEERTOWN, CA: (23:00) Lulu is staying at an eclectic villa in this hip desert community that was founded as a western movie set. A stop at C&S Coffee Shop then a walk down old-timey streets. Next is a sound bath at The Integraton, a resonant tabernacle located on a geomagnetic vortex in the desert. Alison interrupts to tell Lulu that her day sounds like a "cowboys & aliens" theme. Guess what, IT IS! Lulu's using Sixt to bring in friends from LA to be a part a Star Trek Flash Mob! And in true 10k style, she selected the upgrade to SiriusXM access. Lulu orders everyone Star Trek costumes. Time for a screening with the box sets of several series, projectors, and these inflatable movie screens. She caters dinner for everyone from Pappy & Harriet's. She paid for everything for these folks, glad I'm friends with her!

10K Dollar Day is LIVE at The Triad Theatre in New York City! 

INTRO: (00:00) The ladies recorded this episode in front of a live audience in New York City, you can watch the video here. The ladies share the differences of Lulu's single-gal-in-NYC life, and Alison's wife-and-mother life, and the hilarity of their stories elicits a hefty round of applause. Having a live audience is FUN. 

OBSESSIONS: (4:55) Lulu's discovered she's been wrapping her MacBook power cord incorrectly and is obsessed with sharing this helpful life-hack. Alison almost didn't admit to her obsession - a trashy, British reality show called Island of Love (she means Love Island). It sounds like the least British thing EVER. 

WISHLIST: (10:04) Alison wishes for an invention that instantly dries your hair. Lulu's wishlist item is a bedding set that folds up to microscopic proportions. 

LULU’S 10K DAY - MONTE CARLO, MONACO: (14:10) Lulu stays at the Hotel de Paris. She takes in The Cars Collection of H.S.H. the Prince of Monaco. Lunch is at U Cavagnetu. Lulu recreates a moment from To Catch A Thief with a Hermés Scarf and a Porsche 550. She tried the tasting menu at Le Louis XV. To give off some serious James Bond in Monte Carlo vibes, Lulu buys a feather trimmed tuxedo blazer. On to the hotel casino, where she has some martinis (say it with us, "shaken not stirred"), and then heads to the Baccarat table where she plays until she's reached her 10k budget. 

ALISON’S 10K DAY - WILMINGTON, DELAWARE: (30:20) So, The Inn at Montchanin Village has room for 34 people, and Alison's made a list of the 34 people she is inviting to come with her for the day, and she books the whole place. Brunch for everyone at Krazy Kats. Alison's heads to the village's spa for a Kindred Body Treatment. Next is a tasting tour at Chaddsford Winery. Alison heads to Sweet Somethings to buy desserts for a garden party she's throwing at the village for everyone. There's even going to be a DJ. Hard to believe that she got to 10k in Delaware but it's true.

Another EXTENDED Episode because we've got Vanessa Ray and it just doesn't get any better than this!

INTRO: (00:00) We are at our guest googler's apartment, who is the hostest with the mostest! I mean, we have a cheese platter, hummus spread, and there are heirloom carrots! Oh, and it's Vanessa Ray! Currently you can see her on Blue Bloods. Vanessa loves the podcast, especially the episode where Alison buys the vacuum cleaner.

OBSESSIONS: (22:24) Alison is obsessed with uberPOOL. Lulu is obsessed with hot sauce on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Vanessa is obsessed with the t-shirt under dresses trend that we all rocked as kids in the 90's. 

WISHLIST: (28:24) Alison wishes for a Madison Braid, its a headband thats a braid. Lulu wishes that every kitchen appliance had a self cleaning function. Vanessa wishes for the impossible - she wants to be taller.

ALISON’S 10K DAY - ENSENADA, MEXICO: (39:09) Alison does a 10k Dollar Day first and goes on a two-night cruise. She stocks up on some Dramamine®, it's necessary for boat travel, and a flask kit called Smuggs Juggs, also necessary, and some cruisewear from Zimmerman. She does a Canopy Tour and the Calafia Valley Wine Country Tour. Dinner is at Palo, the adults-only restaurant onboard. Lastly, she does a Speed Boat Adventure Tour. So, she didn't quite reach 10k, because everything's included when you're on a boat (cue that bit from the Andy Samberg and T-Pain song). 

LULU’S 10K DAY - MARRAKESH, MOROCCO: (55:32) Lulu stays at Le Royal Mansour. Next is quad biking through the desert. Lunch is a camel burger at Cafe Clock. She takes a drive to see tree goats. After reading this article on henna she hires an artist to go with her on the drive. She buys LOTS of argan oil for herself and for gifts. She goes to the souk, or market, to get a different variety of Ras el Hanout from every vendor to taste test later. Lulu ends her day with dinner at Al Fassia.

INTRO: (00:00) We are on a guest googler streak. This week we have Broadway actress Gaelen Gilliand, who is about to close out Spongebob Squarepants: The Broadway Musical. It gets a bit verbose. That's what happens when you combine friends and wine. 

OBSESSIONS: (10:38) We are working on stuff for our Youtube channel, and Alison is obsessed with putting together the footage in iMovie. Lulu is in rehearsals for a show, and so she is currently obsessed with fight choreography. Gaelen is obsessed with oat milk, as are we!

WISHLIST: (18:32) Alison wishes she could magically know how to use Final Cut. Lulu is really wishing for these Vibes High Fidelity Earplugs. Gaelen wishes that our fur babies would live 20 years longer than they do. 

ALISON’S 10K DAY - OMAHA, NE: (30:03) Alison stays at this Airbnb. At this price she may not have too much trouble reaching 10k...in OMAHA. A brunch buffet at Upstream Brewing Company followed by the Ollie the Trolley tour. A wander through the Passageway Gallery leads Alison to the work of Danielle Easdale. Dinner is at 801 Chophouse, where she gets roasted marrow bones, trying to be adventurous. Oh, and then an $1800 bottle of wine helps get her all the way to 10k.

LULU’S 10K DAY - MOSCOW, RUSSIA: (43:48) Lulu stays at the Barvikha Hotel and Spa. Always aiming to dress the part, Lulu rocks a War Games T-shirt. A buffet breakfast at hotel Metropole. Next is the Extended Market Tour. Lulu loves Russian tea service so she buys this tea urn. Lunch at Cook’kareku. Now for a tour of Star City. There's a whole thing about the possibility of Lulu going to space...but in case that doesn't pan out, she plans to see Swan Lake at the Bolshoi, followed by dinner at Cafe Pushkin and dessert at Bjorn. She has to have vodka, so she heads to Beluga Caviar Bar. While in Russia, right?
