An appointment, a two mile walk, and ice cream. 

In November of 2022 93-year-old Alice Matheny went out with her granddaughter, 35-year-old, Heidi Matheny, for ice cream. 

Hours later Heidi walked nearly two miles from her grandmother's Eaton, Ohio apartment to the Preble County Sheriff's Office to make a confession that would shock everyone.
