In this episode of The Real Build, I talked about why the relationship with customers does not stop before, during, or after a real estate transaction and build. How this came to mind was a recent real estate transaction I closed on and one I just sold.
Here are my talking points:
Start the relationship with the purchase.
Land to build - Tell them why to use you.
Existing home - trust Construction experience to look for quality.
Able to set them up with everyone they need - Seawall, dock, survey, demo, Subcontractors.
During the build - trust is there from the land purchase process - connections were made.
-Constant communication - tell them what is going on throughout.
-Be direct - If something is wrong, tell them.
-If you don’t know something, find out more and get back to them.
-If something isn’t right for them, fix it.
Purchasing a property - set them up with all the right people to make their transaction even smoother.
-Title company or closing attorney.
-Loan officer that you know and trust.
-Inspectors that do a great job - Inspections I take care of the little things.
After the build
-Home watch service.
-Maintenance - water shut off, tub example
-Relationships - Tom doing drone work, stopping by to say hi, dinners, birthdays.
Top of mind all the time. It doesn’t end with the closing of the deal or after the warranty is up.
