Cath Blakey is a Greens Political Party councillor, mother, and advocate for social, cultural and climate change. During Cath’s political tenure she has been responsible for the FOGO (Food Organics, Garden Organics) food waste initiative, and the construction of functional bike pathways in population dense urban areas. Cath breaks-down the mechanics of local-government, the importance of becoming politically (and community) engaged, strategies for taking action to initiate change, and why "Relaxing it and taxing it" (i.e. Cannabis Laws) is a good idea.  This week, Cath is with me live and in-person on the back deck to share her journey, experiences, challenges and hopes for the future.
