Dr. Julie Sweetland, PhD, MA is a Senior Advisor at the FrameWorks Institute. She is a sociolinguist who focuses on how small differences in language have big effects on the world. Her linguistic research has focused on the intersection of language and race with a particular focus on how language can be used to disrupt racism and other forms of oppression. She conferred a Bachelors in Linguistics at Georgetown University. Then conferred a Master and PhD in Linguistics at Stanford University.
