Shemeka Thorpe, Ph.D is Assistant Professor in Health Promotion at University of Kentucky. She is an award winning sex educator, researcher, and trained public health practitioner. She focuses her research on Black women’s sexual wellbeing using sex positive frameworks.
She is also the Co-Founder of The Minority Sex Report where their mission is to provide representation of Black and Native American people within sexuality education.
She conferred a Bachelor Human Development and Family Studies at University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Masters of Science in Family and Child Sciences at Florida State University. And a PhD in Community Health Education at University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
