This guided meditation aims to create space for possibility amidst challenging life situations.
While we all encounter challenging situations, I created this meditation for my 12,000 Google fomer colleagues who were laid off a few years ago and the countless others affected by layoffs in the tech sector since then.
These layoffs serve as a wake-up call for all of us—a reminder of the significance of intentionality in life and building financial resilience to overcome difficult times.
Overview of the Practice
We begin by finding a comfortable and alert position and taking three deep breaths to focus on the sensation of our breath in our bodies.
We practice mindfulness, observing our thoughts with kindness and curiosity.
Next, we expand our perspective and recall a challenging situation we are facing—a layoff, a divorce, the loss of a family member or pet.
With mindfulness, we observe this situation with a kind and curious awareness.
Then, we shift our focus to exploring the possibility of even the smallest positive outcomes in this challenging situation.
I sincerely hope this meditation proves helpful as you process your challenges and embrace the opportunities life presents to you.
Wishing you all the best on your journey.
