The skill that I found difficult to learn is learning to drive. For most people, I think this is a basic skill. The majority of people are able to drive without difficulty. However, for me, it’s not a simple thing to do. The reason is that I find it hard to coordinate myself. For example, I wasn’t good at sport when I was at school. I find it hard to measure distances and to work out how to move the car safely. One of the hardest things to do was to park the car. I was always worried that I would hit another car. It always seemed so big when I was driving it. However, I decided to keep trying because it was important to me. It was important to me because I wanted to be independent. I wanted to be able to travel without asking my husband to take me. I have to say that I failed the driving test three times before I passed it. It was very disappointing and very difficult to continue. However, finally, it became easier and I started to see how I could handle the car. When I passed, I felt great. I was so happy. It’s a good lesson to know that if you continue, you will eventually get what you want. Now, I still feel a little uncomfortable when I drive, especially when I am alone. But I am getting used to it now and I expect I will feel more confident soon.
