I am not a fan of getting up early. However, let me talk about an experience when I was scheduled for a flight bound to my hometown.

You see, at that time I got no choice but to be an early bird. It happened a few weeks ago, and the worst part is, it was on a weekday. Naturally, I had to beat the morning rush since my flight time was at 10 o'clock and I even had to commute in order to get to my destination. It’s usually an hour trip if it’s smooth sailing but I also need to transfer from one station to another which is quite worrisome on my end. I got up at 4 in the morning so I could catch the 5 am trip and avoid the traffic congestion then connect to the other station by 6 am. Unfortunately, the train was delayed for almost 15 minutes which made me so anxious. I was so terrified that I might miss my flight. Luckily, the train sped up to compensate for the lost time which I admit was a relief. I got to the airport in time and checked in my baggage, 2 hours before departure. I rewarded myself with a hefty breakfast and even went window shopping as I wandered and waited for the boarding time.
