When I was in high school, there were loads of rules that we should always follow. Today, I would like to talk about a rule which has a negative impression on me.

Generally, the rule is forbidding us to bring or get our electronic devices in our school. This includes our phones, tablets, Ipads or even our laptops. I really loathe this rule since it hampered our learning and access for education. This rule limited us from getting more information and knowledge on the online world. Instead of exploring on google or baidu, we were just stuck on using our books and magazines for our references.

As for others, they also had a bad feeling about the rule. In one of our subjects, we were required to conduct a research in our groups. Due to this rule, we weren’t able to maximize different references particularly the internet. Most of us are digital natives, this rule deprives them to utilize their skills.

Moreover, even if it was against my will, I still followed this rule. Maybe, our school administrators had deeper reasons why they had pushed this rule. In some cases, some students in the past also used their phones for cheating or sharing their answers. Maybe, it was one of their reasons.

I believe that every rule or law is like a coin. There is always a black and white area of it.
