Andrew Brophy joins me from his home on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland Australia, for a casual chat about his life so far. Andrew discusses his early years growing up in Margaret River WA, why he chose skateboarding over surfing, getting looked after by Brett Margaritis when he was a grom, those pivotal years living and skating in London, getting on Cliche' Skateboards, the transition to his current sponsor; Girl Skateboards, the instant friendship chemistry he found with Mike Carroll, the importance of Megan Baltimore to the longevity of the Girl Skateboard company, why "that" 360 flip over the picnic table was such a special moment in time for him, putting family first, the challenges of maintaining a pro career for an American company whilst living in Queensland Australia, injuries, sobriety, his backyard skatepark, and much much more.
