Mimi's life took a significant turn in the 1970s when she crossed paths with the man who would become her stalker.

Mimi met her ex husband while bartending at a club and they got married, but unfortunately, the relationship ended in divorce, unleashing a nightmare as her ex-husband struggled to accept the separation. What followed was a descent into darkness as he not only refused to acknowledge the divorce but also subjected Mimi to physical abuse and menacing threats. Even as she attempted to move forward and explore new relationships, he relentlessly tracked her down, harassing both her and her partners. Despite seeking assistance from the authorities, Mimi found little relief. In response to the escalating danger, she made the difficult decision to arm herself with a firearm for protection. Today, Mimi bravely shares her harrowing journey of survival, transforming her experience of abuse and stalking into a crusade to empower fellow women to stand up and fight back against such injustices.
