Nikki Bartlett won Ironman Lanzarote in May 2019 - her first win after 14 times on the pro podium! - to qualify for the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. Helen headed to the home of British Triathlon in Loughborough this week to hear her story.

She talks about her race in Hawaii this year, and how she put her demons to rest after her DNF in 2017. She also talks about her hopes to help Alison Peasgood qualify for the Tokyo Paralympics.

Helen also manages to grab a quick interview with double Commonwealth Games gold medalist Jodie Stimpson when she stops to chat before an early morning swim set. Jodie talks about her upcoming return to 70.3 racing for the first time since 2014 at Bahrain, where she expects to "get her arse kicked". She also speaks about the difficulty of trying to get enough ranking points to compete on the WTS circuit after an injury plagued season.
