>>DISCLAIMER: My guest, Lindsay Gibson, shares her violent sexual assault story on the podcast today. If you do NOT want to hear her story or it will be triggering to you, please fast forward first 15 minutes.
For many of us who struggle with food and our bodies, trauma- whether big or small- is likely a part of our story. Even if you think that your childhood wasn't "that bad" or nothing "really traumatic" happened to you, you may be surprised to know how much we internalize from traumatic moments. In fact, trauma is not defined by the severity of the event, but by the severity of the impact on the individual.
In today's episode, I talk with my dear friend, Lindsay Gibson- author, speaker, trauma and maternal mental health advocate, and devoted mother.
