Australian Matt Hauser was World Junior Champion in 2017, 4th at Gold Coast Commonwealth games 2018, and won a gold medal in the mixed relay with fastest run leg. In 2019 he won two World cups, and 2020 was 8th in Mooloolaba. We talk about his background and entry into the sport, his hopes to make the Australian team for the Tokyo Olympics, his respect for his rivals - and the kind of times he’s posting for 5km on the road while he’s in lockdown!
