Mike's philanthropy, which began in the 1970s and paralleled his business career, expanded in 1982 with the establishment of the Milken Family Foundation.  Mike is also chairman of the Milken Institute, an economic think tank that hosts more than 200 annual conferences and other events around the world. The Milken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University offers 30 degree options. The Milken Center for Advancing the American Dream is slated to open in 2024.
