34. Are You Soul Tired?
Sister, I wish we were having this conversation together at a local coffee shop while holding fancy lattes (that I can't ever seem to master at home). I've got a question for you. Are you tired? I don't mean physically tired. I mean SOUL tired. Is your heart heavy and your soul tired. Life on its own without the worldwide pandemic and political turmoil is too much at times. Spiritual warfare is at an all time high and I'm gonna be honest. I've found myself feeling soul tired. Chances are, you have been, too. Today, I want to share what's helping me to get re-energized for this race I'm running with the Lord! He doesn't want you tired, sis. He wants you energized. Sit with these scriptures and let the Holy Spirit minister to your weary soul and re-energize you.
Isaiah 40:28-29 “He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength.”
Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
1 Peter 5:6-7 “Humble yourselves, therefore, under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt you, casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you.”
Isaiah 40:31 “But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.”
Jeremiah 31:25 “For I will satisfy the weary soul, and every languishing soul I will replenish.”
Galatians 6:9 “And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”
