"What does it mean to be sovereign within ourselves? What does it mean to be a fully empowered, autonomous human being? I think within that is a key concept of taking ownership and responsibility over our own energies and for ourselves. And that doesn't demolish any of the hardships that we've been through, but it asks us to fully face those head on, and take ownership for their transmutation and their healing."

"I think the characterization of uncertainty is often one of panic and overwhelm and anxiety, and that is the natural reaction. But the dark mother is a benevolent force, and we need that space, we need that vacuity, we need that darkness to shelter and to regenerate and to recover from times where we have been pushing really hard in our life." 

"The nature of life is a mystery, and life herself is a feminine force, right? So that mystery is not for us always to know - fundamentally. And sometimes trying to figure it out can cause more pain than it does benefit."

"Where am I in the journey right now, and what is going to be most nourishing for me? Do I need to invoke more structures and clarity - more masculine? Do I need more surrender and trust - feminine?"

"Compassion and gentleness and forgiveness is really what's in store here. Like, discipline and surrender can coexist at the same time, and it's not so much - 'is it one or the other', but - 'what is the right mixture of both in this present moment?'"
