Join me as I interview Dr. Heath Lorzel about his experience with viral encephalitis and the brain injury it caused. Dr. Lorzel is a brilliant engineer whose experience with brain injury has inspired him to focus his engineering skills and knowledge of artificial intelligence on battling brain injuries by helping others overcome theirs. While he did not sustain a concussion, many of the symptoms he experienced are similar to those experienced by people with Post Concussion Syndrome, and his story will be applicable and inspirational for those suffering with PCS and anyone who listens, really. Heath also discusses his experience with Hashimoto's disease and what helped him recover from that, tonotonic maps and how a machine he invented has helped people regain their sense of smell after losing it following COVID-19, and how he likes to approach the subject of helping others understand his injury.
