Welcome back to the daily gratitude minute. This is Scott Colby from St with the gratitude. And, you know, recently one of my friends and fitness clients purchased the grateful deck. So for those of you that aren't familiar, the grateful deck is a deck of cards that I produced in the summer of 2020.
Each card has a question on it. And the questions are designed to start meaningful conversations, to help us remember the good in our lives. So it's really designed to help you connect with somebody else. And so she wrote to me, after she bought the deck with three teenage children. We often struggle to have positive conversations too often. All of the discussion is negative motivated, motivated by school drama, frustration between siblings and reminders from parents about the things the kids need to do. So she bought the grateful deck in order to start more positive, meaningful conversations.
Which is amazing to me. I replied back and told her. Hey, this is exactly. Y I wanted to create the grateful deck to help start and cultivate. Family connections in conversation. So I'm excited to hear how it goes. For her and her family and hope it makes a difference. Um, so just to give you a sample, one of the questions in the grateful deck.
Uh, one of my favorites is, um, What memory always makes you smile. What memory always makes you smile. So when you hear that question, you automatically are thinking of the good things in your life. Things that make you happy. A good follow-up question. After you name something that makes you smile, a memory, um, you can ask why, why does this memory make you smile? So.
Just an example of, uh, the types of questions in the grateful deck. Uh, if you want a, um, free downloadable version of the grateful deck, so where you can see all 120 questions. You can go to gratitude, toolkit.com. And download. All 120 questions of the grateful deck and use them. However, you'd like.
Um, hope this helps you have a more productive and meaningful conversations. With your loved ones i'm scott colby from Saint with gratitude and this has been the daily gratitude minute cheers
