This week we will focus on Gratitude, and also Gratitude’s bedfellow, Forgiveness.
This will be an exercise in forgiveness of self and of others, with an eye on power to free us from the suffering our minds inflict on us. With trying to focus on the present and focus on self you can start to see the presence of gratitude.
Broken promises by a parent, a loved one or even a friend can take away trust and faith in humanity. Our minds tend to perceive this threat more than necessary. The only remedy is forgiveness. Remember, self awareness helps us to understand that through forgiveness others that hurt us may have possibly their own issues.
Moving toward peace with the old and faith in what is to come is a step to forgiveness and gratitude in the future.
Today’s most important idea: one broken promise does not make all promises futile. This means that one person’s betrayal does not make all other people untrustworthy.
