Today we appreciate the underappreciated. This may be your bank teller, your waiter,or your dry cleaner.
Few things are as upsetting as seeing customers taking out their frustrations on retail or service industry employees. We tend to see these folks on a customer employee basis.
We need to recognize how busy they are. Busy times are not the time to take more than a moment but during slow times we should practice the lost art of connecting.we may recognize how hard they work. We can be specific about the way they handled themselves in a difficult situation. Sure you can leave a good tip, but try to focus on their face, and them to see ours. Be sure to let them know the positive impact they had on your experience. Take time to notice their effort and show them gratitude, genuine intentional kindness.
Someone lashing out could be their breaking point. We don’t know what they are going through. So instead of lashing out and having a negative impact, why not have a positive impact.
You may be the tiny bit of energy they needed to complete their day. Remember, by stimulating your ‘feel good’ hormones, you can become addicted to kindness.
