In ancient days, leather shields had to be oiled before battle or they would crack and fail in the fight. Our shield of faith is no different, for without the fresh oil of the Spirit it grows dry and fragile. But when saturated with His presence, our faith becomes strong and unshakable against every attack of the enemy.
