Accountability is an ongoing process and allyship has to be renewed everyday. It doesn’t stop because you don’t feel like dealing or discussing or apologizing again. Just like the hate and vitriol doesn’t disappear because folks are tired of living it.

Aurora Harris is an influential leader with a wealth of experience in community outreach and advocacy. She was named by Outsmart Magazine one of 2016’s Ten Faces of Black LGBT Leadership in Houston. She was recently honored with the Black Queer. Magic Community Leadership Award and She currently sits on the City of Houston’s first ever Mayoral LGBTQ Advisory board.

Jovaun Davenport a native of Dallas, Texas now a resident of Houston, Texas since 2004. Jovaun is the founder of Heavy Hitters and Co-Founder of Heavy Hitters Pride.
