Very very few players (other than professionals and scratch players) practice with any purpose or regularity. The majority of amateurs go to the range and hit balls, all being well they will feel good about how they are swinging it and consider it a good session.
Practice is essential to enable us to develop good on course habits.
We can't recreate pressure on the range but we can establish an approach to each shot to give it 100% of our focus. If we do not incorporate that aspect into our practice sessions we are missing a really beneficial oppertunity.
