Today’s episode is with Alex Rei. She is the co-owner of Black Locust Gardens, and also makes herbal goods, under her company name, 13 Botanicals. She is on the board for the Great Lakes Herb Faire where she is the coordinator of herbal first aid. She is also currently pursuing nursing school and hopes to open up her own apothecary and clinic, allowing equal access to good and affordable integrative health care.

In today's episode she delves into the ups and downs of owning and operating an herb farm, such as organic certification, selling dried versus fresh herbs, marketing and so on. She also covers the other various aspects of her herbal journey.
