When it comes to religious and spiritual trauma, religious institutions, spiritual leaders, and family dynamics can lead to hurtful or abusive experiences that can leave lasting impacts. In this episode, we are going to discuss how to start healing from religious/spiritual trauma and empower yourself to develop your own relationship with a higher power (if you choose to do so). I will also talk about my own experience with religion and my path to reconciling my own core truth vs. my family’s. I also answer a listener question about someone who cheated on their partner and is experiencing “catholic guilt.”
