80s Dance Music Classics by Party Favorz

This 2018 80s Dance entry in the Diva Hall of Fame celebrates Shannon’s pivotal role in freestyle and dance-pop. The mix traces her peak-era singles and the club remixes that revived her profile, opening with definitive cuts like Let the Music Play and Give Me Tonight before shifting into later house, trance, and circuit treatments.

Highlights include classic Ultimix and Hot Tracks edits alongside notable reworks by Hex Hector and the Chris Cox & Trent Cantrelle 2009 remix, plus collaborative club cuts with Todd Terry and Sash!. The set shows how Shannon’s songwriting and vocal tone translated across evolving club styles — from E-Smoove and Murk deep-groove versions to trance and circuit remixes — while reminding listeners why her early hits remain touchstones for Gen X dance floors.

Party Favorz presents the first half as an 80s-focused tribute before moving into 90s and 2000s club territory, honoring Shannon’s influence on freestyle and modern dance remixes.

Short, focused and nostalgic, this set is meant for listeners who remember the mid‑1980s club sound and newcomers curious about how Dead or Alive helped bring Hi‑NRG synth pop into mainstream charts and dance rooms.

This is an 80s dance entry in the Diva Hall of Fame from 2018 celebrating Bananarama and their pop-dance catalog. Party Favorz pulls together club-ready mixes and extended treatments that span the group's peak eighties era through selections from 1990's Pop Life, spotlighting members Sara Dallin, Siobhan Fahey, Keren Woodward, and later contributor Jacquie O'Sullivan.

Expect familiar staples like Venus, Cruel Summer, I Heard A Rumor, Na Na Hey Hey (Kiss Him Goodbye), Shy Boy, and Preacher Man presented in Ultimix, Eurobeat, and club remix styles.

Sequenced for nostalgia and dancefloor flow, this concise celebration highlights why Bananarama earned their place in pop and dance history while offering remix-focused listening for longtime fans and club-mix collectors.

Freestyle, Diva Hall of Fame, 2018 — this episode spotlights Exposé with a club-ready tribute that collects extended and remix versions from the group's late‑80s run. The mix highlights why the trio’s harmonies and pop‑freestyle hooks translated easily from radio to dancefloors and into DJ boxes.

Expect Ultimix treatments of “Tell Me Why,” “Come Go With Me,” and “Point of No Return,” alongside the Select Mix of “Exposed to Love,” the Hot Tracks remix of “I Specialize in Love,” and the L.A. Mix take on “Stop, Listen, Look & Think.” The set closes with the 12" version of the chart‑topping ballad “Seasons Change,” balancing the group’s biggest radio moments with club extensions favored by DJs.

Formed around Jeanette Jurado, Ann Curless, and Gioia Bruno, Exposé earned multiple top‑ten hits from their debut and remain a staple of 80s dance playlists. This entry was inspired by a fan recommendation after a recent concert and aims to celebrate their role in freestyle and dance pop.

This is an 80's dance megamix — Back 2 the 80's Volume 2 (2018) — assembled as a roughly two-hour celebration of classic club hits and remixes from the era. The set was originally conceived as part of a longer four-hour program but split into two parts; it stitches together Ultimix and Hot Tracks edits plus notable remixes to keep nonstop floor energy.

Expect familiar sing-along moments and club-ready edits from Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson, Sylvester, Kylie Minogue, and Gwen Guthrie. The host leaves in a duplicated placement of Gwen Guthrie's "Ain't Nothin' Goin' On But The Rent" as an intentional wink, and Ben Liebrand remixes pop up in the sequence, giving the mix a consistent DJ-friendly flow.

At about 2:05:50, this episode is a curator's run-through of 80s dance favorites rather than an exhaustive anthology — made for listeners who want nonstop, recognizable dancefloor moments.

This 2018 80s Dance mix — Back 2 the 80's Volume 1 — is a two-part megamix assembled for seamless, club-style listening. Party Favorz moves the focus from disco into the synth-and-drum‑machine era, highlighting the snare-driven timing and DJ-friendly edits that defined many dance-floor transitions.

The set leans on popular unofficial service remixes from Ultimix, Hot Tracks and Razormaid to smooth long-form mixes and live-style segues. Highlights include Paula Abdul, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Duran Duran, Rick Astley and Neneh Cherry, with familiar tracks like "Straight Up," "Pleasure Principle" and "I Wanna Dance With Somebody" presented in extended remix forms.

The producer notes one difficult edit: Aretha Franklin’s "Freeway of Love" required manual timing fixes to sit in the mix, but the final two-hour-plus result keeps momentum without losing flow. Back 2 the 80's Pt. 1 aims to capture Reagan‑era dancefloor energy with a DJ’s attention to transition and groove.

An 80s dance mix from The Diva Series assembled in 2018, this episode spotlights Debbie Harry and Blondie with a clear dancefloor focus. It traces how New Wave and punk-era songs like Heart Of Glass and Atomic were reshaped for clubs, pulling together official remixes, later releases, and a few bootlegs to map the band’s and Harry’s durable club appeal.

Highlights lean on club-ready reworks rather than nostalgia: Shep Pettibone’s Heart Of Glass, Giorgio Moroder’s Good Boys, Armand Van Helden’s New York New York, Eric Kupper edits and a Danny Tenaglia club mix round out the sequence. The set balances Blondie singles, Debbie Harry solo moments and contemporary reinterpretations to show why Harry became a Studio 54 icon and a touchstone for queer and club communities. Party Favorz inducts Debbie Harry into its Diva Hall of Fame with affectionate, dancefloor-first context.

House music, The Diva Series, 2017 — this Thank You Mix is a year-end tribute built as a note of gratitude to the Party Favorz community and a celebration of Whitney Houston’s dancefloor legacy. Compiled to welcome 2018, the set favors classic club versions over newer, less inspired reworks, resulting in a focused 1 hour 40 minute journey that aims to keep the emotional core of Whitney’s songs intact while serving the floor.

Highlights include powerful reworks by Hex Hector, Thunderpuss, Barry Harris, Jonathan Peters, and Tony Moran, with a nod to the Deborah Cox duet on “Same Script, Different Cast.” The compiler replaced tentative recent remixes with proven club versions from “I Will Always Love You” through “Greatest Love Of All,” editing the sequence for flow and technical polish. If you prefer an alternate take, the original 2009 Whitney tribute remains available, but this edition is intended as a streamlined, dance-ready thank-you for supporters as we step into 2018.

This 2017 DIVA Hall of Fame tribute is an 80s dance mix dedicated to Erasure, assembled as a personal and music-first retrospective. The set gathers extended mixes and club edits drawn largely from Pop! The First 20 Hits along with rarities and remix versions that emphasize Vince Clarke’s synthcraft and Andy Bell’s voice. Highlights include emotional nods to “Victim of Love,” “Star,” “Oh L’Amour,” “A Little Respect,” “Chorus,” and “Blue Savannah,” presented in mixes that reframe familiar melodies for the dancefloor. The host frames the collection with memoir-style memories of discovering Erasure in the mid‑80s and how those songs became touchstones in queer life and coming-of-age moments. Carefully sequenced and affectionate rather than celebratory, this nearly two-hour set is meant for longtime fans and newcomers who want a focused primer on Erasure’s early dance legacy. It’s a labor of love that honors the duo’s impact on pop and club culture.

This episode is an 80s Dance Music Classics megamix from 2017 titled Pure Energy, a BackSpin collection that leans into synth-pop and industrial-tinged club cuts. The set deliberately revisits the decade’s darker electronic edges while still serving up dancefloor-friendly mixes and extended versions for listeners who remember—or are discovering—these tracks. Highlights include Razormaid-style and extended mixes from Erasure, Pet Shop Boys, Dead Or Alive, and New Order, with Information Society’s “What’s On Your Mind (Pure Energy)” and Patrick Cowley’s “Megatron Man” anchoring the sequence. The host reflects on how industrial’s punk-rooted anger worked as poetic repetition and suggests a possible shift toward deeper, more politically pointed selections in future mixes. Runtime is 1:23:23 and the mix balances singalong synth-pop moments with tougher club textures for a slightly darker take on 80s alternative dance.
