On this episode of That Music Podcast, Tina Arenas and I dive into what having a play based curriculum really looks like in the music classroom.

Tina Arenas (she/her) teaches early childhood music and movement at the American School of Dubai. Prior to teaching abroad, she taught K-5 general music in public schools in Texas and served on the board of national and state music ed organizations. Tina has presented workshops for teachers worldwide and has served as a cooperating teacher for student teachers and an artist-in-residence for universities. After more than 20 years in the music classroom, she continues to make play a priority. Tina strives to create an environment where children feel valued and free to explore their musical expression and creativity.
