In this episode we talk about common integrative and functional medicine approaches recommended for PANS/PANDAS. We also talk about specialty testing that is frequently recommended. As always, we talk about it through the lens of Jody and Avery’s story.
A few things we talk about:
Surprising reactions to tiny amounts of meds or supplements
Wanting to heal the gut
Herbal or natural protocols that mimic the actions of conventional treatments
Genetic, nutrient, gut, and other testing and all the protocols that come along with the results
Trying to sort out what was better from supplements and what was better from all the accommodations, and the fear of stopping anything in case it was helping even a tiny amount.

Dr. Bahr’s concerns about the anti-fungal and anti-parasite trends
Super strict diets and food allergy testing/elimination, and their mental and emotional impacts
