Waco is a 2018 mini series based on the true story of the super full-on 51 day stand-off between the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and the Branch Davidians in Waco, Texas back in 1993. It tells the story from multiple viewpoints of those personally involved in this historical event.
David Koresh is played by Taylor Kitsch (with a mullet) and he leads the Branch Davidians, a religious faction made up of a lot of faithful men, a lot of faithful women and one of Macaulay Culkin's brothers.
John Leguizamo plays Jacob Vazquez, an undercover ATF agent sent into Koresh's compound to gather information about the Branch Davidians as the ATF suspect that they are in possession of illegal weaponry. Jacob starts to get to know the cult leader and his followers, slowly understanding why innocent people would seek guidance from someone who describes themselves as 'the final prophet.'
