Some of the decisions golfers make on the course at times would strain a jury to believe possible unless made under some unknown duress. The sheer stupidity, of the player's choice of shot, really beggars belief.  

This is almost the exclusive domain of the amateur or recreational golfer, which would be fine if it didn't appear to cause so much distress when the immediate abject failure of the shot become evident.
