Last weeks' episode was Part 1 of our sensory evaluation, brought to us by Hendo from Rockstar Brewer! We learned about the characteristics of acetaldehyde, which produces a flavour similar to green apples and trans-2-nonenal which then produces a papery, cardboard type of flavour standards.
This was personally a very educational and informative session as everyone's sense of taste and smell is very unique and it was interesting to talk through these standards!
This week we will cover the last flavour standard and talk about why the breweries who do the best, are generally the ones who are always taking on feedback and looking to improve.
