Idaho politicians are targeting libraries and considering book bans, but plenty of Boiseans have rallied to support free access to books. One famous name in this effort? Pulitzer Prize-winning author Anthony Doerr. The novelist — whose recent book centers around libraries — spoke with Lead Producer Frankie Barnhill last fall. They talk about learning civic duty through borrowing public property, and why he thinks we need to do more to protect these public spaces.
