Derecka Purnell is a human rights lawyer, organizer and columnist for The Guardian, and she joins host Krys Boyd to discuss her journey to the moment where she began to believe police reform doesn’t work, and the solutions she feels are necessary for equality, healing and public safety. Her book is called “Becoming Abolitionists: Police, Protests, and the Pursuit of Freedom.”
