Fifty-five years ago, the Voting Rights Act passed; today, the roll back of voting laws shows the legislation is hanging by a thread. Vann R. Newkirk II, senior editor at The Atlantic and the host of the podcast Floodlines, joins host Krys Boyd to talk about how the bill was originally perceived and passed, and what might happen if it again lands at the Supreme Court’s door.
