God hints at his purpose for you by planting Dreams within your heart. As Paulo Coehlo in the alchemist says, To realize one’s destiny is a person’s only obligation.

Family, the smallest unit of society. The people we have been  born into, but can also be people we chose, to call as family.  They care for us, mold us, influence us into the person that we are. Their collective values, hopes and dreams are imprinted on us like a calling. We adapt these and make them our own. 

In the bigger scheme of things, we are part of one BIG family, under our God the father. We must believe in that and see  ourselves as a part of Him, and His church, as one of our most solid of foundations.

Let’s take this moment to cling to our Father and thank Him for being there, for always having open arms, wlecoming us back, no matter how lost, broken, tired, ashamed our unworthy we think we are. Our Father’s love is immeasurable, flowing and constant. He is our family.

What does it mean to be joyful?

An artist called NightBirde. Despite battling cancer, inspired the audiences of America’s got talent by saying "You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore before you decide to be happy".

Closer to home, I recently met a joyful lady who has encountered the difficulties of losing her husband and 5 other people in her immediate circle in a span of 2 weeks.  But, despite that, she was able to say, with utmost sincerity, "I survived because I Chose to be happy". 

Oprah, defines Joy as a sustained sense of well-being and inner peace. Real joy is in direct proportion to how connected you are to living your truth. 

Dr. Brene Brown shares  "A joyful life is made up of joyful moments gracefully strung together by trust, gratitude and inspiration. Happiness is tied to circumstance, while joy is tied to spirit and gratitude" . In her 12 years of research, there’s no joy, when there’s no gratitude.

 These ladies, spiritually advanced in their own right, advise us to choose a joyful life, with gratitude and prayer. Having said that, why don’t we take this time to pause and to remember our many reasons to be joyful? Can you recall some moments, no matter how brief, that made you smile today? :)

A peaceful mind can think better than a worked up mind. Once in a while allow a few minutes of silence for your mind. Sometimes all you need to do is relax and listen.
Peace means to be in the midst of all the chaos and still be calm in the heart. The real peace is the state of mind and heart, not the state of the surroundings.

Hope is the virtue that keeps you going, no matter how difficult and unforgiving life is. Hope is the manifestation of your belief that all will be well, even when it seems there is no way, no light in sight.  Hope is excitedly looking forward to, for something good even when you can’t fully articulate what that is, just yet. 

God has always reminded us to be hopeful, as he makes everything beautiful in His time.

Humility is the quality of having a modest or low view of one's importance. It is the freedom from pride or arrogance. On earth, I find little children as the best examples of this virtue. They do not shy away from saying what they need. They are trusting, dependent, innocent, humble. 

In this episode, let’s try to emulate little children as we humble ourselves before the Almighty and desperately pray for what we need, rest and a God night’s sleep.
