This week we are covering a serial killer out of Huntsville, Texas. Daniel Lee Corwin killed three women in the East Texas area and attempted to kill two others. He was finally caught when one of his victims survived and was determined to find her attacker.Fun Fact: The Texas State Penitentiary at Huntsville opened in 1849, one year after the state legislature created the penitentiary system. In Walterboro, South Carolina, 26 year old Elaine Fogle is brutally murdered in her own home. With very little evidence and no leads, the case quickly turns cold. All signs point to the husband but without enough evidence they have to let him go. It would take decades to finally bring the killer to justice.Fun Fact: Be careful, you could be married without being present! Texas is a common law marriage state, which means you are considered legally married if the couple makes three public announcements that they’re married.
