No, the era of one-party rule in Washington is not over. In fact, it’s just beginning. I explain how the GOP is irremediably broken and literally serves as a uniparty on every issue that matters. Just this week the GOP screwed us on marriage and then reelected the same failed leaders in both chambers. So what do we do? I lay out a multi-pronged approach to changing GOP primaries into town hall convention systems, concurrently running independent candidates where it makes sense, using the party for ballot access but creating caucuses to blackmail the GOP, and then a relentless agenda to focus on local conservative politics in red states. It’s all very achievable if the will is there on the Right. But alas, the conservative movement is stuck on stupid.
