  1. Number 1: Lanterns: Season 1, Episode 1, "Pilot"

This week, Da7e and Neil have been pulled out of Westeros in a green bubble and asked whether they are afraid of a new Damon Lindelof show. The answer? Absolutely not. In The Calm [05:10], they break down the pilot episode of Lanterns and highlight its many influences, from True Detective vibes to Fargo vibes to a promise of cosmic shenanigans. They also check in on some familiar tropes like Bad Dads, Time-hopping Mysteries, and Mythology Deconstructions. Then in The Storm [48:04], your faithful hosts use their knowledge of the comics, the "Weeks Ahead" trailer, and lack of screener access to lay down some theories about where this story will go, including the very important questions around why the show is specifically and simply called "Lanterns" (with no color-based qualifier). Next week, the Lanterns journey continues with episode two of eight. Will there be aliens? Probably. But more importantly, there will be more Garrett Dillahunt. 2. Number 2: House of the Dragon: Season 3, Episode 8, "The Treasons at Tumbleton"

This week, Da7e and Neil close out their coverage of House of the Dragon season 3 with a finale breakdown, season-ending awards, and a look ahead to Lanterns. In The Calm [04:30], they discuss the big happenings at Tumbleton, assess whether George R.R. Martin is right about the butterflies, and hand out season 3 Georgie awards. Then in The Storm [01:19:00], Neil attempts to lay out how Ryan Condal and co. will fit the rest of the story into eight episodes in the final season. And Da7e has thoughts about the next Damon Lindelof experience, which will replace HotD on the HBO Sunday night schedule. Next week, LANTERNS! 3. Number 3: Lanterns: Season 1, Episode 3, "OutKast"

This week, Da7e and Neil are time-hopping through the origins of John Stewart and his complicated path toward Green Lantern candidacy. In The Calm [04:58], they assess the show's levels of wokeness. And with the help of numerous emails from listeners, they continue to theorize about the Lanterns rings and the "imperfect system" of choosing candidates. Then in The Storm [52:20], they attempt to predict how the rest of the season will be paced and whether there is a classic Damon Lindelof show narrative pivot right around the corner. Next week, Lanterns returns with a fourth episode that gets back to the conversation with Hal and Sinestro and maybe, just maybe, brings in some big action beats. In The Calm [05:50], your faithful hosts find enjoyment in a Kyle Chandler Side Quest and connect some dots to big names in the ever-expanding DCU story world. The also explain why Mogo isn't a fan of socializing. Then in The Storm [38:46], it's theory time! Did this episode just introduce a few different kinds of Lanterns?
