Our short story in 'Claare ny Gael' is about a young scientist who succeeds in attaching radio waves to a tachyon - a tachyon (in theory, at least) travels faster than the speed of light - in an attempt to send a message to, and to get a reply from, an alien from a planet in another solar system.

Gabriel Garcia Marquez was a famous author from Colombia in South America. In 'Claare ny Gael' we hear a translation into Manx of a short stroy that was written by him about a dentist and a mayor. It appears that there's no friendship between them.

Although Edmund Edward Fournier d'Albe was not an Irishman, and that he was not living in the country for many years, he took a great interest in the Celtic language and culture of Ireland. He was interested in Pan Celticism as well, and he did much to encourage people to take notice of, and to support, the Manx language. We hear a little about him in 'Claare ny Gael'.
