Aboard the Opal Star

After some exploration of the central rooms of this mysterious manor, our friends decided to try and secure an exit only to find that doing so is impossible. There is no going back, only forward. And so forward they go, exploring the manor room by room in an attempt to piece together the truth of this place and the people who own it. Throw in a few mysterious notes and our friends are sure to be on edge.

In order to better get into the Halloween spirit, we are doing our first ever one shot, complete with guests from From Afar Podcast and Not Quite Heroes. A group of loosely connected adventurers gather at a manor house on the outskirts of Eve's Hollow to hear more about a job whose rewards promise to be lucrative. While each is there for their own reasons, they soon discover they may be in for more than they bargained for.

The next few days pass uneventfully as the party continues on towards its destination. They take some time to research some of the new things they have learned about the Alliance and their new friends. Vaelena learns more about Spectra's past while Faridah works on a new creative project. They also receive some combat training and language lessons.

After a rather harrowing encounter with some bears, the party made some new friends and learned a little bit more about one of Spectra’s associates. A mysterious woman named Meria who apparently works with artisans. Tali was injured but is stable enough to drop the new friends back off in town before returning to the ship so they can continue on their journey to the Belare crucible. Other interesting tidbits may come to light about the history of the ship and it’s crew.

On their way to deliver the Belare scout to his crucible, the crew of the Opal Star received an alert from one of their old friends that some of the friend's people may be in danger. Since their last known location is nearby, the party decides to go and help. They follow the signal into the woods where they have an encounter a group of rabid bears who have some people trapped in a storage shed.

First our friends had time to do research on what life in the Alliance looks like. Then they got to experience their first morning on a space ship. Now they get to meet the Alliance and get their very first taste of an alien planet. They have come along way from the beginning of their story and are starting to embrace the next chapter of their lives.

Now that our friends have had some time to breath after the tumultuous mission that turned their lives on their heads, it is time for them to begin exploring the new world they find themselves in.
