Things are not adding up for our friends as they reach the end of the chase and find their prize. A few pieces remain hidden but, as the old saying goes, the truth will out. Are our friends prepared for what awaits them at the edge of their known universe? What is really going on with this mission? What is the package? And what is it that the captain is trying so hard to hide from the party? The truth is closer than you think and it is far stranger than you’d expect.

The package has gone missing and our friends are hot on the trail of whoever took it. So begins the game of cat and mouse as our friends try and catch the thieves before they disappear with the package. The price for the job has just gone up, but that hinges on whether they recover what has been lost. The question is, how did the thieves know about the package? Was it just a lucky grab or is there something else going on here?

 As the noon hour draws near, our friends endeavor to get a better feel for the people they are traveling with while waiting eagerly for confirmation on where exactly the first leg of this mission will take them. Their robot point of contact informs them that the navigation device will be updated once the package has been brought on board. Questions still linger, as do suspicions, as the party does their best to prepare for the unknown. Even in a place as meticulously bureaucratic as the Federation, plans can go rather awry. Especially when there are outside forces tugging the strings.

The mysterious mission is underway. The party does some research on their own time to figure out what exactly is going on here. Vaelena focuses in particular on the people she is with as she and Faridah both suspect that they are hiding something. The mysteries increase as they finally reach their destination, a nondescript planetoid with a small mining operation that seems to have recently been robbed.

The party boards the Jaeger and begins the journey to their unknown destination. Captain Shado introduces everyone to her first mate, an AI named Sona, and shares some of here concerns over the sheer strangeness of the mission. Not used to having other people on the ship, she lets a few things slip that leave our friends with even more questions.

Where are they going? What is the package? Why where they chosen? And who exactly is Shado communicating with on her second SIM unit?

The Federation has a habit of keeping everything under tight control, especially communication and travel.
