This week Northrock Lanes General Manager Brent Bowers joins myself and Steve Kloempken to discuss reopening after Covid-19. Brent shares his USBC OC plans and his thoughts on college bowling after the coronavirus. We also discuss the rise of Kris Prather onto the PBA scene.

This week we chat with Hank Boomershine, Hank bowled at West Texas A&M he is now the VP of Sales and Research and Development at Storm Bowling. Hank has some tips for bowlers as they begin to get back out on the lanes after an extended layoff. Boomershine also shares his thoughts on if time off can actually help a bowler to break a bad habit. We also discuss where urethane fits in a bowlers bag and how much a bowler really needs to understand when it comes to the technical side of the game.

This week on the Collegiate Storm Spotlight Podcast, we catch up with Coach Andy Diercks. Coach Diercks talks about the end of the 2019-2020 college season for his team and what he looks for when building his collegiate roster. He tells us about how he recruits and some keys aspects he looks for in building the best team. He discusses some experiences with Team USA when making decisions on who to bring to tournaments and why.

This week we catch up with former WSU Shocker and PBA member Matt McNiel. Matt discusses how his time as a Shocker is helping him in his role at Storm. We also talk about how he was able to connect with his teammates and if he has any coaching aspirations. Matt talks about the Storm U and ends by addressing bowlers that had their season cut short due to Covid-19.

This week I chat with 12 time PBA Champion Danny Wiseman. We discuss how the Covid-19 Pandemic may affect the PBA for years to come. Danny also talks about the advantages and disadvantages to having a financial sponsor and how many bowlers today have sponsors. We discuss how disagreements with other bowlers was handled when he was on tour. Danny also talks about how a players earnings listed on PBA.com doesn't tell the entire story.

This week we chat with Storm Bowling Technical Director Chad McLean. Chad also was an assistant coach at the University of Florida before making his way to Storm. We discuss how his role at Storm does take college bowling into account and his biggest takeaways from college bowling. We end out chat discussing the changes to the USBC rules regarding rubbing alcohol during competition.

This week we catch up with Julia Bond to discuss her first year on the PWBA Tour. Bond bowled at Nebraska and shares some advice with high school bowlers regarding picking a college. We also hear what Julia is doing during this break from bowling.

I chat with David Rutherford, president of Gold Cup Bowling Alley in Warner Robins Georgia about the reopening of his center. We discuss the steps he is taking to keep bowlers safe if they come out and bowl. Rutherford also shares his thoughts on leagues and tournaments moving forward and the financial challenges he faces moving forward.

This week we catch up with Tommy Hankey Jr. Tommy recently won the Storm IBMA Collegiate Bowler of the Year award, Tommy is a sophomore at Webber International University. We discuss his mental game and what is mindset is when bowling tournaments along with why he chose Webber. Hankey Jr. also talks about some people that have influenced his game.

This week I catch up with Pro Shop Owner Drew Parkin to discuss how he is handling the coronavirus pandemic. We discuss what he is hearing from other shops and how he may be handling things moving forward. Drew also shares what we as bowlers need to remember when centers and shops do begin to open back up.
