Abraham's Wallet

Jerry and Janet Pryor (Jeremy's parents) had a decision to make: they were grandparents who were separated from family, had a pension coming their way, and numerous ministry opportunities. Should they continue on their fruitful path... or leave everything in pursuit of a legacy? Hear them describe their home, schedule, and rationale for what they've done in The Grandparenting Years!

Jeremy Pryor gives Steven a tour of his house. As you’ll see and hear, the Pryors have thought about how to USE their property (every last foot of it!) for the sake of their family’s culture and vision, which includes having lots of people using their home as well! Marvel at the expansive front porch! Gawk at the built-in pickleball court! Amaze at the massive family gathering room… and all the thought that’s gone into every nook and fascinating cranny of this one-of-a-kind, Abrahamic, mission-inspired, multi-generational home.

In this week's episode, Steven Manuel and Mark Parrett discuss the need of obedience at home. Assuming fathers are in submission to God, how do they train their children to obey as well? And... how important is that, anyway? Isn't obedience training swimming upstream of culture, pop psychology, and just about every modern notion? Besides the fact... don't we want to get ALONG with our kids!?

There is much ballyhoo over whether dad has the right to make others obey him. "He must!" "He must never!" "He is a tyrant!" "He is a pushover!" ...but one of the most important quarters that obedience must be present is IN DAD'S HEART. Join Steven Manuel and Mark Parrett as they discuss the myriad ways that fathers must live under submission and accountability, thus exemplifying OBEDIENCE as a core family principle.
