Once it is recognized that the apparent world is only the mind engaged in dreaming, then the nonduality of consciousness and its contents can be understood and its vast implications can be unfolded. But it can take some time to digest and integrate all the binaries (the polarities, like good and evil, immanent and transcendent) in order to gain accurate knowledge that brings freedom from suffering—even the awareness that there is no suffering, since the world and the whole seeming multiplicity of sentient inhabitants are unreal. The sticking point is the resistance to recognizing that you, as a being in the world, are also unreal. The delusional mental apparatus must be terminated.
