ACOFAE: A Collection of Fandoms and Exploration.

ACOFAE Podcast Presents: Clueless: "You're a virgin who can't drive."

ACOFAE goes back to school with a heavy dose of nostalgia, plaid, and Paul Rudd. Though being a loose adaptation of Emma, Clueless takes Laura Marie and Jessica Marie all the way back to the 90's when you could argue your way from a C to a A-, call your friends in the hallways, and own a closet that is still today a thing of dreams. Cher and Dionne, the popular of the popular, take new arrival Tai under their wing and things take a turn when friend turn frenemy. Add in a sprinkle of step-sibling romance and dialogue that remains quotable and all the makings of a classic are there!

OMG AS IF!

ACOFAE Podcast Presents: Bring It On: "Meat Ranch High School".

Here's an ACOFAE lore drop for you: Laura Marie ate, slept, and breathed CHEER when she was younger. No exaggeration. Laura Marie spent many summers at Cheer Camps in Florida experiencing the joy of humidity. When Bring It On came out on theaters Laura Marie was sat with her teammates, watching the thing that was LIFE being shown on screen, mostly accurately. It was very special. Fast forward to today, and the nostalgia is as high as the temperature as Laura Marie and Jessica Marie jump head first into this cheer classic that has both aged well and not well at all. Torrance is the new captain of her cheer squad and drama is a foot. Stolen routines and Nationals coming up mean that it's crunch time to figure out if the Torros have what it takes to be original and rise to the occasion or bow out and quit. New (old) rivals, The Clovers, mean business as both squads face off on the biggest stage in Cheer.

"I know you don't think a white girl made that shi* up."

ACOFAE Podcast Presents: The Fifth Element: "Of course it would take a woman to save the Universe."

It's apparently also the summer of Bruce Willis on ACOFAE as they, plus a special guest, dive into the science fiction cult classic The Fifth Element. A 90's joyride that stands out from the pack thanks to stand out performances by Chris Tucker, Gary Oldman, and the color orange. So much orange. Action queen Milla Jovovich steals the show as Lelu in the iconic role that has become a staple on the convention scene and in our hearts for years. Bring on SummerWeen! Let's go back to school, back to Yale specifically, and back to cool weather and even cooler plot lines. There are A LOT of plot lines in this book.
